7 Things You Can Do Today To Make Google Fall Head Over Heels In Love With Your Small Business Website

Posted by | Posted in PPC | Posted on 19-04-2009

Creating your own small business website can be a scary thing to do. It requires some planning to get it right and make Google sit up and take notice of your site at first glance. Small business website search engine optimization (SEO) is one of the keys, but all too often, astute business people leave the creation of their websites up to a family member or a friend who happens to know something about it. This is strange, for they wouldn’t dream of letting the same people build their bricks and mortar store or office.

Of course, getting an expert who fully understands small business SEO to build your website is not likely to come cheap, but it may be the best solution if you are starting out from scratch. However, this article is aimed at those small businesses that already have a website, but are disappointed at how poorly it performs. If you’re frustrated because your website appears on page 42 of the Google search results, and no one is visiting your website, here are 7 things you can do to quickly improve your results.

1. Create an Effective Website Title Tag, Description Meta Tag,
and Keywords Meta Tag

The most important part of any website page (in the eyes of the search engines) is the title tag. The title is enclosed between the opening title tag: and the closing title tag: . It is located in the head section of an HTML document, or web page. You should use your page’s main keyword in your title. Try to use your main keyword near the beginning of your title, and perhaps again near the end. But always strive to make your title readable, and not obviously keyword stuffed.

Your description tag plays an important role in SEO for your local small business. This tag is used by most of the search engines in their listings, so you need to spend some time getting this right. The description tag looks like this: and it is also found in the head section of your web page.

Something brief such as, “Acme Incorporated, Makers of Blue Widgets,” gets the message across, but you could do much better. Try to list benefits rather than features, and use your main keyword in your description as well. Keep your description reasonably brief, but not too short. Something like, “Acme, Inc., Makers of the Strongest, Most Powerful and Affordable Widgets on the Planet” is better.

Like a headline for an ad or sales flyer, your description may take time to develop. Start with a list of all of the benefits your product or service offers and then try to write 20 different descriptions for your site based on those benefits. Test your descriptions by reading them to your customers, employees or others familiar with your business. You’ll find out which description resonates most strongly with your potential prospects – and that’s good for the search engines and for your sales.

The keywords tag, again found in the head section of your web pages, looks like this: . The keywords you choose for your page are important, because they tell the search engines what should be found on the page. Google and all the other search engines present search results based on relevancy ? how relevant your web pages are to the keywords and phrases your prospects are searching for.

Keep your keyword phrases to less than seven and don’t repeat the same words. For example, if you have two keyword phrases, which are, “blue widgets” and “bright blue widgets,” you should only include unique words after including the first “blue widgets” keyword.

Curious to know what your Title, Description, Meta and Keyword tags currently look like? Here’s a simple tip ? just go to any page of your website, then click on “View Source” or “View Page Source” from the “View” menu. There you’ll be able to see exactly what your tags are telling Google when they crawl your site.

2. Optimize Your Website Copy

Your website copy consists of the words on every page of your site. Try to make it interesting and informative. One simple way to arrange your articles, or informative pages, is to use a simple three-step format. Begin with an introductory paragraph that tells your visitor what you are going to tell them. Then in the next two or three paragraphs, tell them. Finally, wind up the article by telling them what you just told them.

This may seem overly simple, but it works. Speak to your website audience as you would to a seven-year-old child. Don’t patronize them, but lay it out clearly in simple steps using straightforward language that anyone can understand.

When writing your copy for each of your pages, make sure to focus on one or two keywords per page. If you are selling widgets in all colors and you also sell thingamajigs, then widgets should be on one page and thingamajigs on another. Keep it simple for your customers and the search engines by focusing on one idea per page and your customers will thank you for it, and Google will thank you too.

3. Establish an Acceptable Keyword Density for Your Website Copy

While optimizing your website copy you also need to establish a keyword density that is acceptable to the search engines. Opinions differ, but somewhere between 2% and 5% is probably about right. This means that for effective small business SEO, your main keyword phrase should appear around three times for every 100 words.

Where your keyword appears is important too. Try to use your main keyword or phrase twice in the first paragraph, once in the second paragraph, once around the middle of the article, and once again near the end of the article. Try to start and end the first paragraph with your main keyword if possible, but don’t force it. Always aim for copy that is readable before copy that has perfect keyword density.

4. Create Quality Back Links to Your Website

Increasingly, the search engines are giving added weight to the number of quality back links your website has. It used to be that reciprocal linking was quite acceptable, and it still is, but now Google and the other search engines give higher credibility to one-way back links as far as your search engine rankings are concerned.

And it’s not just any back links either. You need to have quality back links, or back links from sites that are similar to yours. It’s not much good getting a back link from a site about butterflies if your site focuses on racing cars. With Google, it’s all about relevance. You should also strive to get back links from so-called authority sites. These are sites that the search engines deem to be an authority on their chosen subject. They tend to be quite big and to have been around for some time.

5. Use Local Directories Effectively

If you are marketing to a local market, then make use of local directories. How do you find them? If, for example, you are located in New York, then go to Google and search for, “directory” + “new york.” This will return a list of all the local directories in that city. You could even try searching for, “blue widgets directory” + “new york,” if you are marketing blue widgets.

Once you find a suitable directory, submit your website to it. People do search on local directories, so even if your product has worldwide appeal, there’s a greater chance that you will get the sale if someone finds you in a local directory over someone else located in another continent who can deliver just as cost effectively or as quickly.

6. Create a Proper Site Map and Google Site Map

Every website should have a site map. This is merely a directory of all your site’s pages with links to every one. You should have a link from every page of your site back to your site map, and your site map must be updated whenever a new page is added.

A Google Site Map is also a site map, but one that is in a special format that Google can easily spider. It has the great advantage of allowing Google to instantly “see” your site and evaluate it. It can be a very useful tool in getting Google to index your site more quickly than otherwise. For more information on creating a Google Site Map, go to: http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/.

7. Add Fresh Original Content to Your Website at an Acceptably Measured Pace

Your website should never be considered finished. It should always be a work in progress that is constantly expanding with fresh and original content. The easiest way to do this is to add new articles on specific subjects on a regular basis. One article a week is the least you should aim for, but don’t add content too quickly either. Dumping 100 articles a day into your site will ultimately work against you, because the search engines look for organic growth ? in other words, growth that seems natural. Since it’s not likely that you were able to write 100 articles in one day, Google and the other search engines will see this as unnatural and will count it against you in your page ranking.

SEO for your local small business is easier than you might think. Getting Google to fall head over heels in love with your small business website is not rocket science. You only need to implement a few simple things on a regular basis, and over time Google will notice and your page rank ? and your placement with the search engines ? will start climbing.

How To Get Affordable Keywords In Google Adwords

Posted by | Posted in PPC | Posted on 08-04-2009

One of the biggest mistakes Internet Marketers make is the illusion that driving thousands of visitors to their site is the most important criteria for online success. It is unfortunate that this is one of the most costly exercises most will face will trying to grow their online business. Without traffic you are not going to make a single sale let alone a profitable scalable business, this much is true but to what extent does the amount of traffic play a role?

I have seen budding Marketers taking their money and throw it into the hands of Google and Yahoo as if throwing larger amounts of money on advertising on pay per click networks would yield better returns. This usually ends up being a vicious cycle like a degenerate gambler throwing more money on the table in the hopes to finally hit a winner, in our case, sales. Lets examine how we can find cheap profitable keywords and ultimately creating profitable Adwords campaigns.

First thing we need to accept is that more traffic doesn’t equate into more sales, it equates into higher costs, simple. If we are paying for people to come to our site, who are we wanting to land on our site? Are you happy to pay for information you are giving for people who are still researching a product, who have a question they want answered but not even considering spending a dollar for that information? Time after time marketers are attracting visitors who simple do not want what they are selling, why is that, well because they don’t even know themselves what they want, they are simply researching for a solution.

Let look at an example that illustrates this better than any, the “make money online” marketing. Now think about that keyword, who is typing those words into the search field? Obviously someone that after information about how to make money online, they do not know how, the do not know the best method, their options or even if it is possible. Do you want to pay for this people clicking your Ad? The “make money online” keyword is one of the most costly keyword around because competition is fierce but more importantly Marketers believe this keyword will convert. Obviously people are making sales with it, but are they making a profit?

The buy cycle is the most important criterion you must examine when deciding on which keywords to pay for. You goal should be to find keywords that target those who know what they want but require a gentle push to make a decision to pull out their credit cards and enter those digits. This visitors have done their research and are ready to buy a product or service to best suite their needs. In the example above, for the “make money online” keyword, put yourself in the shoes of the person searching in Google. Obviously these people are researching, internet marketers make their jobs so much harder by trying to convince people to do something, you shouldn’t need to take someone from the research phase to the buy phases, your keywords should be targeting those who are ready to buy.

Broad keywords will not only result in higher cost per click but unwanted traffic, you need to be very specific and isolate those who you want to visit your site. Would you care if you only had 10 visitors a day but 1 in every 3 lead to a sale? Of course not, you must get out of the mindset that more traffic will get you more sales. HIGHLY TARGETED traffic will lead to more sales, higher conversion rates, cheaper clicks and ultimately more money in your pocket.

General rule of thumb I like to use is to use keywords that are a minimum of 3+ words long, target those late in the buy cycle who simply require a gentle nudge to pull out their credit card, nothing more. In these cases you do not even to put in the hard sale, these people are on the fence just looking for some reassurance that they are making the right decision.

If you are wondering which people are finding cheap and profitable keywords, accept the fact that their is no secret to discovering these words. My favorite tool is my good old, thrashed at times, brain. Once you understand your market keywords should be popping up for you, take note, some of my best converting keywords are 7+ words long. Why? because i am speaking directly to those ready to buy and not trying to convince someone to go from 0 to 60 in 2 seconds.

Long tail keywords that are targeted to those late in the buy cycle will be not only cheaper but more profitable. Get out of the mindset that more traffic is better traffic, higher conversions, cheaper clicks equates to profit.

More importantly, research research and more research. Understand your market, once you can get into the head of your market, highly targeted keywords will become apparent and you will be amazed at how cheap your clicks will become.

Adwords Secrets And Yahoo Marketing – Ideas About What To Post On Your Blog

Posted by | Posted in PPC | Posted on 07-04-2009

Ideas about what to post on your blog ? try these tips.

Blogs today have changed when they were just used for personal ideas and thoughts. A blog has evolved into something that can be used for publishing just about any content on the internet. The ease with which free or paid publishing programs can be obtained, installed and setup is ridiculous. Wordpress one of the more popular programs is not only free but famous for it 5 minute install and also the vast range of plugin?s, small programs that interact with the main program, to change it is used and its usability to the nth degree.

Pay Per Click search engine marketing is simply the fastest way to test campaigns for profitability – and to keep them profitable. The only problem is that it can be incredibly intimidating to get started. Even those who have been in the game for quite some time are often seeking advice on how to earn more money and stop bleeding unnecessary cash.

For comprehensive text and video reviews of the best PPC products on using Yahoo marketing and Adwords marketing secrets for greater profits then check out www.1amazingincome.com and click on the link for Pay Per Click Reviews from the menu.

So what can you put in a blog?

Here are some ideas to help with coming up with content on a regular basis. Some people are natural at talking about anything and everything about themselves and if they do it in a controversial way they make the bigger news sites and get more visits. This can lead to better and more valuable advertising on the site and bring in an income. Either part time or full time incomes have been known to be earned. Other people use them for fansites, club sites, specialist interest sites. By publishing the latest and greatest on any of these sectors they can become quite popular and command authority on the web.

The main thing with a blog as opposed to a regular website is that they can be very dynamic in that they allow your visitors to comment on what you written, this can be a good thing or it can be bad if you don?t have the time to moderate the comments and keep them true to the subject or clean and free from spam and other negative posts. There are plugins that can manage spam quite well and you can set comments to be checked before publishing or just turn them off.

1. You could start with news publishing or syndicating. You could write original reports on news in your area or on a specialist subject. Your favorite sports team, hobby just about anything. If the sector has regular events or games then just commenting on these and letting the visitors know about them in a timely fashion can get you a good amount of visitors. You can even use one for an internal or external company news outlet as they are so easy to install and use. You can post news on just about anything. If you?re a company it can keep employees and customers alike informed of the latest company news or special offers or deals etc.

3. If you sell products from your blog you can easily add customer reviews and testimonials. You can even easily add videos of how your product can be used or should be used. Who needs infomercials? Your blog can be a whole collection of them. You could even get your customers to video themselves using your product and post it, perhaps even give them a discount or bonus for allowing the video to be used. You don?t even have to pay for hosting the video as there are many video upload sites like Youtube that the video can be hosted on and a plugin used to display it on your Wordpress blog. Same for Powerpoint slides of presentations as well.

4. You can use your blog to comment on other products and review them, if you?re into camera?s then reviewing the latest models can keep you busy writing posts. You can comment on posts on other blogs or stories making the headlines. Do you agree or disagree with them?

5. You can use your blog to inform the local community of contests, prizes. You could set puzzles or questions and get your visitors to partake in games. You could use it to raise awareness of issues or charity events.

6. One of the best ways to add content is to give tips about tricks and techniques on how to do things. Again video can be used to demonstrate procedures.

You can blog about anything that you want and whats more its possible to earn an income from the blog as there are many companies you can join for free who will supply advertising and split the revenue with you. Google Adwords is one, by placing some code from there Adsense program on your blog then people who advertis with Google in there Adwords program will see their Ads supplied to interested websites through the Google Adsense program. One is for Advertisers and the other for publishers. Google takes a cut and you get a cut. The publisher gets his Ad in front of visitors who are interested in the same thing as the content of the page they are viewing and the publisher gets paid for the privilege, this is by Pay per click which means the publisher gets paid a share of what the advertiser paid Google for every click on the Ad. Don?t think this will easy and that all you have to do is advertise and click on your own Ads. Google and the other search engines have ways of tracking clicks and you will soon be detected, banned and maybe even prosecuted. Make sure you read the terms and conditions very carefully.

There are other networks that do this as well such as Yahoo and MSN. There are also loads of other companies that can supply Ads on a different basic such as Cost per Action. These work by the visitor completing say a survey or supplying an email address for more information, the advertiser then pays for each lead it gets, this can be quite a lot sometimes in the mortgage and insurance sector as the long term value of a successfully customer they obtain is obviously worth more than a business that makes a one off sale.

Adwords Secrets And Yahoo Marketing – Getting The Most Out Of Adsense

Posted by | Posted in PPC | Posted on 01-04-2009

Google Adsense will give you a great resource for advertising your business. It enables you to advertise your business on various websites. You only pay them if consumers click on the link to take them to your website. This is an opportunity for a new business or one with a very small marketing budget to get themselves some recognition. You don?t pay anything if consumers don?t click on your advertisement.

You don?t want your ads just sitting on websites though. The whole purpose behind developing the ads and placing them is to get more interest in your products or services to generate an increase in sells. Properly using Adwords is the way to get this accomplished. The more popular keyword you use, the more likely your ad will appear on the page. While your website and product or service may be unique it is important to use common keywords, also known as Adwords.

It can be tricky to determine the right Adwords to use for your business. Various free tools to help with this process can be found on the internet. The Adwords Keyword Tool is the most effective as it was designed specifically for this purpose. It will help you write advertisements that are rich in keywords that are common. Millions of people search the internet everyday for various reasons including business, leisure, and shopping. Make sure your ads are in the same terminology they will be using while surfing the internet.

Using an Adwords template is another great way to ensure you are using the right terminology to get your ads on the page and in view of the consumer. Some advertisers shy away from these templates because they fear their ads will look like everyone else?s. However, that is not true. The templates allow you to be as creative as you want to be in your ads, just giving you a tool to make them as effective as possible. Templates are very simple to use and are great for businesses who continually want to change and update their various ads.

The most common mistake made when it comes to AdWords is not understanding the mental image that each keyword represents to the consumers. If you are advertising globally, then it makes sense to use keywords in each geographical area that mean something to take population of individuals. Another common mistake with Adwords in Google Adsense advertisements is writing the ads from the company?s point of view. The focus needs to be on the consumer and how they will view the advertisement. It needs to be a teaser that gets them excited, grabs them, and makes them curious enough to take the link to your website in that very moment.

For best results, limit the number of keywords in a group. I know you are thinking I have been telling you to use more keywords, and that is true. However, try to get them to stand alone or in groups of two or three. If you get too many then a consumer has to type in almost an exact match to get a hit. This will cut down on the number of links back to your website with Google Adsense.

If you do this then Google will love you. First, you will get a higher quality score (on Google at least) so that your bids are lower and you are ranked more highly with a better ad position. You will also get a better conversion ratio from people who click on your ad because it clearly matches what they’re looking for. Seeing the exact keyword they search for is a great way to target and get a response! Making your ads relevant from search term to ad to landing page to product will get the best quality scores and greater conversions.

This can seem like a exhaustive undertaking at first. That might be why it’s best to either start out slightly more generally at first; or try a few different ad groups before expanding them. That way, you can weed through the losers and expand upon the winners. That alone will help bring you into profitability far faster than you might have been otherwise. Getting training or coaching or buying a guide at least will save time and prove a cost saving in the long run.

There are tools on the market that will track and manage your ads so the best ones are pushed to the front and the unprofitable ones can be paused until you tweak them or remove them. Using these tools will ensure you greater profits and lower losses on losing campaigns and also enable you to turn a losing campaign onto a winning one.

There are no two ways about it – too many people make mistakes with their pay per click search engine marketing! They are usually too general or don’t have high quality, targeted ads and landing pages. Avoiding these mistakes is probably the best thing you can do for your Internet marketing business. Soon enough you’ll figure out what works and what doesn’t work for your specific business utilizing PPC.

Adwords Secrets And Yahoo Marketing – Pay Per Click Promotion – A Beginner’s Guide To Getting Started

Pay Per Click search engine marketing is simply the fastest way to test campaigns for profitability — and to keep them profitable. The only problem is that it can be incredibly intimidating to get started. Even those who have been in the game for quite some time are often seeking advice on how to earn more money and stop bleeding unnecessary cash.

Using pay per click promotion is an excellent way to bring in more money for your business. If you’ve never heard of this form of marketing before, you’re in for a great experience! Many new and experienced marketers are finding that this is the new wave in marketing on the Internet.

Pay per click (PPC) is basically when you bid a certain amount for a keyword. Anytime someone searches for that keyword and clicks on your ad, you will owe the PPC engine the amount you bid (or less). The person who clicked on your ad will land on your website.

Your hope is that your site converts enough people so that you are in profit. This works better then standard ads where you pay a certain amount of money no how many people view or respond to your ad. This way, you are only focusing on those people who are truly interested in what you have to offer. You don’t pay unless those people respond!

That doesn’t mean that just because they respond you will be in profit. It is up to you to take that response and turn it into sales.

There are certain things you can do to increase your chances of making these high-quality sales. An example of this is ensuring that you choose keywords that are very focused on what you have to offer. Choosing general keywords will only lead to frustration as these do not convert as well as longer tail keywords that are more tightly focused.

You also need to ensure that the keyword’s ad is highly related. Many pay per click engines will highlight the key word within the ad, which makes it stand out more to prospective buyers.

After people have clicked on your ad, they will be taken to the landing page of your choice. This landing page is on your website, and should match the key word in the ad so the visitor gets a seamless experience. Whatever they were searching for is exactly what they should find on your landing page. It can show up in the title, meta tags, and content on the page.

This might seem intimidating — or it might seem too easy depending on your mindset. It is actually neither of those things! It will take some work to learn and study as much as you can about pay per click promotion before you get started. At the same time, it is not that difficult to get profitable campaigns up and running if you have learned as much as you can and put it into action.

Google Pay Per Click — Getting Started With The Internet Giant

Posted by | Posted in PPC | Posted on 22-03-2009

Google Pay Per Click — Getting Started With the Internet Giant

Google pay per click is also known as Adwords. This is the most well-known PPC company around! Understanding this bidding engine will prepare you for any of the others you may choose to use in the future. In fact, many Internet marketers got their start using Google’s Adwords. As long as you are trained in the best methods, you can turn a profit quite quickly!

There are many different reasons why you might want to use Google’s pay per click over some of the others. For one thing, you’ll probably get a lot more traffic using Google than you will with some of the other search engines. The traffic the other search engines receive is incredibly small when compared with Google’s.

Another consideration and reason to use Google is that the Adwords interface is far more advanced than the others out there. While you can certainly make use of the others, they will often seem clunky when compared to Adwords’.

Before you get started with Google, you should read as much as you can on the topic. That doesn’t mean you should tirelessly study and never take action, however! Read a guide or a few guides, before getting started with some test campaigns. The best way to truly learn as much as you can about PPC marketing is by actually DOING!

So far you’ve been presented with positive aspects about Adwords. One caveat to the idea that Google’s Adwords has it all together is that they are also quite strict. You might find that if you use trademarked search terms you will get a notice that your ad has been disabled. Be sure you are always in compliance, or else you’ll find your hard work was for nothing.

Another difficulty is getting past the quality score. How Google figures out its quality score for landing pages is not completely divulged! Still, there are some things we know about having a good landing page that will get you a high quality score — leading to lower bids and more profitability for you.

You should make sure that the keywords you are bidding on match the information found on the landing page. Be sure that the main information, title, and keywords throughout the page are relevant to what is being searched for. Also make sure that the visitor can quickly see what they were looking for, because Google wants to provide an accurate and relevant search experience for the user. Some of the same things they might use in the algorithm for search engine optimization apply to pay per click as well!

Google pay per click can be insanely profitable if you read enough about it before you began and make sure you have everything in place.

Best Pay Per Click — Making The Right Choose Of PPC Engine | AdWords Pay Per Click — Using Google To Your Advantage

Posted by | Posted in PPC | Posted on 22-03-2009

AdWords Pay per Click — Using Google to Your Advantage

Adwords pay per click is definitely the top PPC engine in the business. People love to search on Google, and for that reason this is what most people use to bid on advertisements. Making use of this in your business can be an excellent decision!

Before you get started with Adwords, however, you definitely need to have a good grasp on the system. There has been more than one business owner who has lost their shirt by not understanding how to bid, which keywords to choose, and how to prevent losing a ton of money!

The first thing you should do is read Adwords’ own help section on the topic (found on adwords.com). It is actually quite helpful, and will answer many of the questions you have. Unfortunately, it does not go into many of the ins and outs of working with Adwords.

For that reason, many people turn to a pay per click coach. This can be extremely expensive — especially when you are finding it difficult to pay for Adwords in the first place. If that is the case with your business, the best option is to purchase a guide or e-book to learn everything you can on your own.

The good news is that this is not as difficult as it seems. It can even be quite fun and addictive to start bidding with Adwords pay per click! It can also be very lucrative if you know how to get your bids down and create targeted ads.

In fact, one of the biggest mistakes people make is creating the wrong kind of advertisements. You actually don’t want as many people as possible to click on your ad! While this will get you more traffic, it will not bring you the targeted traffic that will lead to the best customers. By simply reading a guide by an experienced marketer you can save yourself thousands of dollars that you’ll find is wasted during the testing on your own.

Another important thing that you should understand about Adwords is that there is a quality score. The higher your quality, the lower your bids tend to be. If you have a poor quality landing page, you’ll get what is called “Google slapped,” and it will be nearly impossible for you to bid on your desired search terms.

Once again, reading an Adwords guide can make all the difference in the world between running a profitable campaign and running out of money before you get a chance to.

Best Pay Per Click — Making the Right Choose of PPC Engine

Finding the best pay per click engine is actually not as difficult as you might think. Choosing the one that’s right for you will just require some focus onto what your goals are.

The first thing you should know is that Google is the most popular pay per click engine. The reason for this is simple — they have the market share of Web searchers. That means you’ll likely find the largest audience by using Google’s Adwords.

However, that is not always the best option for your business. There are certain cases where Google’s Adwords will cost you more than it is worth. Using Yahoo’s search marketing instead can be a great decision that can be more profitable for you. In fact, many business owners are making the switch to Yahoo every single day.

There are also times where you’ll want to use more than one! One thing you might consider is that as soon as you get a profitable campaign going with one pay per click engine, you can simply move it to another one. This can double your profits and your exposure across the web. You don’t want to do this with campaigns that are failing, or that you’re not sure about. Make sure that when you spread your campaigns out, they’re going to pull in some profits for you.

Going back to choosing a pay per click engine, you may want to consider the ease of use as well. Some people consider Yahoo’s interface to be far too clunky to use properly. Google’s Adwords is definitely the easiest to use, and makes the most intuitive sense. It’s very streamlined, and is the seeming inspiration for other search marketing companies out there.

That doesn’t mean that it is the only one that will work. Yahoo’s works great, as well as MSN’s and other PPC engines. It is all a matter of getting used to the different interfaces so you can utilize your ads as best as possible. You might want to test out the few different ones before settling in or spreading your campaigns around on a larger scale.

One thing you should keep in mind is that you’ll often find great coupons when you sign up with a pay per click company. Yahoo often has $50-$100 coupons available that will automatically give you that amount of money for when you start your first campaign. This can be great for when you test the best pay per click engine for you.

Remember, no matter which pay per click company you decide to go with, you never want to get started without full training. There are several guides on the market that can help you, it is just a matter of choosing the right ones so you can start being in profit with your PPC campaigns ASAP.

7 Basics To Look For In A Work At Home Business Donnie Baird

7 Basics to Look for in a Work at Home Business
Donnie Baird

We live in the age of the internet. No where has the internet made a bigger impact than in the area of the ?work at home entrepreneur?. You want to start your own home based business. But, there are so many different ones. Some are legitimate, some aren?t. Since the purpose of your starting a business is to make money and free up some free time eventually, you certainly don?t want to waste your time and money on a scam. So, therein lays the problem. What do you look for when starting your own work at home business? The following is a list of just a few things to look for in a home based business opportunity.

Stability – With so many scams out there, one thing to look for is a stable opportunity.

What I mean is this: Look for a business that has been around for a while. I?m not saying that there aren?t new opportunities that are not worthwhile but I always like to know the business has been successful. Also, a stable company will usually let you join for free so that you can take a more detailed look at it before you invest your time and money into it.

Product – What product(s) will you be offering to others? Is it something that most people need, use, or would want? More importantly, is it something you need, would use, or want? It is impossible to market a product that you don?t use, because if you don?t use it, how can you convince anybody else to use it? Also, keep in mind that most times, you will be selling the opportunity as well, so you need to be convinced that it works before you can convince others.

Investment – How much does it cost to join this opportunity? How much is it going to cost to market your product? How does the compensation plan work? How long does it usually take before I at least break even? Compare what you will be spending to the money making potential of the business.

Training – So, you find a stable company with a product and opportunity you really like. The next step is to make sure you will get the training you need to get the word out that you have that product and opportunity. Nothing is more discouraging than having something to sell, a business to promote, something that will benefit others, and not know how to advertise it. Make sure your business gives you ideas on how to market your product. It?s even better if they show you how to do it. Look for ways to get people to join you while your business is growing, like Guaranteed Sign-ups, or an advertising co-op.

Up-line – This goes along with the training you will get from your business. Can you get in contact with others in the business that have been successful? It?s nice to know the path others have taken to become successful in your business. They can give you helpful ideas and they can help you avoid some of the pitfalls they have encountered. It is really nice if the opportunity has a chat room or message board so that you can get ideas on how to start, how to promote and advertise, and how to respond to others as they join your business.

Potential – All the above leads to this last quality I look for in a home based business. How great of a potential is there to make money in the business? After all, that is the bottom line, isn?t it, to make money?

Your Gut Feeling – Don?t forget your most important tool-your common sense. If something doesn?t seem right, you need to back away until you get all your questions answered. First and foremost, you have to believe in the opportunity and what it offers before you can sell it to others. Make sure to get a handle on what is going on before you commit to it. Once you make that commitment, give yourself some time before you decide it won?t work.

Obviously, there are other things that you can look for. These are just some basic things to look for when trying to find just the right work at home business to place your time and money into. But, I believe if you will use these basics as a starting point, you will be in good shape on making a decision.

Any Idea Why Paying For Your Website Traffic Is A Smart Move

Posted by | Posted in PPC | Posted on 18-03-2009

There are so many success stories you will hear about when you start a internet business, and how successful others have become. The troubling thing is, there are maybe a tenfold or even a hundredfold of stories contradictory to theirs. Many have unsuccessfully launched a online business, but only a handful shall succeed.

Is this through luck? That is even more remote. It takes good business sense and a lot of help and team effort. Most importantly, it is the eagerness to succeed and the determination to learn and the willingness to invest in a lot of hard work and some money.

The Very Basic

Like Neo, traffic is ?The One?. Without traffic, all your effort would just go to waste. Every business needs customers, without them you wouldn?t have anyone to sell your products to. In the internet world traffic is the walk in customer. The more traffic you have the more people would be able to sell your products to.

But like any business that?s in every corner building or in the mall, not everyone that goes in will buy, but the greater of number that do come in to browse your merchandise, the greater number of people that will buy your products. It is a simple and known fact.

But, how do you get traffic, traffic large enough that could make a small percentage of eventual buyers enough to make a good profit. Many big companies generate traffic of tens of thousands a day and a measly ten to fifteen percent actually buys, but that small percentage is enough to provide them with good business.

Many of these success stories get their traffic from paying others. Yes that?s right; you have to spend money to make money. Advertising is the key. The more people that knows that your site exists; the more people would of course go to your site, that?s common sense.

While there are many ways that can get you advertising for free, this do not generate the same high volume as those methods that are getting paid. These paid advertisements include advertising schemes by Google and Yahoo.

The Value of Searches

The search and will be the easiest and fastest medium in finding what a person needs in the internet. Search engines have been very popular because they provide a vital service to many people. They are free and easy to use. With this popularity, they get many visitors and clicks that they are the most common sites that people go to. It is easy to understand why so many companies would pay to advertise with these search engines.

Search engines provide information to the millions of users that they have each day. They provide links to many sites that a user may be looking for. If your sites link pop up in the high ranks of the search results page, you get a great chance that they will go to your site. While search engine optimization is a cheaper and low cost way to get your site a high rank, paying for advertisements will ensure that you will be on the top ranks.

When you pay for your advertisements, it is like paying for your traffic. This may sound like not such a good idea, but the payoffs would tell a different story. When you pay for your traffic, you are guaranteed of a consistent traffic flow to your site. You will never go with an empty sales day.

Paying for your Traffic

Usually, you will be charged with the number of hits a link gets when your ads is clicked, this is called pay per click. For some search engines, you will be charged with the number of times your ad shows up when a certain keyword or keyword phrase is searched. It is imperative that you have good keyword content in your ad. There are many tools that aid you in using the right keyword for the right moment.

All the money you spend in paying for your traffic will not be for naught. You will get an impressive boost in traffic which will also result to a great boost in your sales figures. Paying for your traffic would be a really good idea and you will get all the benefits it has to offer.

Ready To Start Using Overture/Yahoo Instead Of Google To Get Website Traffic

Posted by | Posted in PPC | Posted on 18-03-2009

Once you start internet business, you need to think about advertising if you want your internet business to survive.

Overture or now known as Yahoo because of Yahoo?s takeover, was the original inventor of the use of the P4P or Pay for Performance. Overture saw that the internet was fast becoming the easiest and most convenient way to shop, and advertising was going to hit at an all time high because of the many businesses in the arena.

To get a person to go to a site than others, it needs to be very visible. Providing ads that could direct potential consumers and costumers to their site would allow them to have an increase in traffic as well as sales. Yahoo provides a service that can put a site or company?s ad in their sites that can be shown when certain keywords are inputted.

Yahoo offers a chance for any company to increase their traffic by using their services. With more people being aware of your site, there would be more traffic and visitors to your site given the chance to view your pages as well as your products. With even a small percentage of successful sales, with a high traffic volume this could still be a substantial figure for your company.

Getting a consistent substantial flow of website visitors is every company?s goal. Many methods are devised and utilized to ensure that there would be more people to boost the sales and to be aware of the existence of such a product or service. Website visitors are potentially the life blood of your internet based business.

Yahoo/Overture utilizes the same principle as Google?s Adwords. In fact, they are very similar to each other that they use keyword and keyword phrase searches and to determine which ads to show per search. When a person types in a keyword or keyword phrase to search for anything, the search engines gives out the results in a page. Then at the right side of the page, you will see selected ads that have paid for their ads to be viewed with certain keywords and keyword phrases searched.

For example, Lets say you run a car parts retail/wholesale site. You choose keywords that can prompt or trigger your ads to be shown in the page when a keyword is searched. When a search engine user types in Honda Accord, your ad may come up if you have designated that as one of your keywords. You don?t need to fully optimize your site with Search Engine Optimization methods and techniques.

While some labor so hard to make their site one of the high ranking sites per keyword search, you get the chance to be on the top of the list or at least in the first page of a search result increasing your chance to be clicked on. With that, you drive traffic and website visitors to your site a lot faster.

You will have to pony up some cash when using this service though. There are different ways Yahoo/Overture will charge you. It may be in the number of Keywords or Keyword phrases your ad uses or in the many times your ad is clicked on. Others offer many other services like having your ad show up not only in the search engine pages but also with some third party sites.

Third party sites support ads that have the same theme or niche as them. With more areas your ad is shown, you increase the chances of people knowing about your site or product. With more website visitors you increase the sales of your site which makes your investment with your ads a wise one.

With so many competitions in the internet based businesses, it is necessary to take a huge leap forward from the pack by advertising. Yahoo/Overture will be a great place to start. Many have utilized their services and have reaped the rewards of this decision. It?s a marketing strategy that will increase your website visitors as well as increase your sales resulting to profit.

It takes money to make money, while there are some methods that are basically low cost or free, using a marketing service such as what Yahoo/Overture offers will provide results faster and on a larger scale. Many businesses have learned this the hard way, don?t be counted with them.

Targeted Traffic And Mastering The Google Cash Machine

Posted by | Posted in PPC | Posted on 15-03-2009

Getting search engine traffic from the search engines isn’t too hard you can either get it in the organic results or you can use adwords.

Every day there are around 200 million searches performed in the search engines, and every day millions of dollars is spent online! Adwords allows you to tap that traffic right at the source, to stand there with a sign and direct people to where you want them to go and spend their money. In the right hands Adwords can be devastatingly effective, in the wrong hands it can just be devastating. This beast bites!

Let’s face it, getting traffic is hard, you could write a load of articles, mess around with your site trying to optimize it for the search engines for a few months, or you could just plug yourself into the raging river of trafficflowing through Google every second and siphon it off for yourself!

Submit URL ********************* Increase Website Traffic

I’m not saying it’s easy, but it is a lot easier than all the amateurs out there make it out to be. They read a couple of posts in a forum, think they know it all and just come out all guns blazing bidding as high as possible and sitting back thinking they are king of the hill as they are in spot 1 and spending a small fortune to be there.

The key is to learn anything and everything you possibly can about adwords, you can find reports and articles everywhere on the internet. Gather all the information you can and absorb it… all of it and read it over and over.

Here are the basics:

Getting Started
The first thing you need to get started with AdWords is a goal. Is your goal to make direct sales via ecommerce on your website? Is your goal to capture sales leads that you can follow up with to make the sale?

Campaigns and Ad Groups

The Campaign level is where you set your daily budget, language targeting, location targeting, ad distribution preferences, and the start and end dates for your campaigns

Targeting

Choose the language you want to target, and then the countries or territories. This requires some thought. Can you offer your product or service globally, in the United States, or in just your city or region?

Write your Advertisements
You have a 25-character title get searchers’ attention, and a 70-character ad to make them interested enough to want to click on your ad. So choose your words carefully and make them count.

Choose Your Keywords

When you choose your keywords you will want to choose long tail keywords, these will give you better targeted traffic and they will cost you alot less then one or two keyword phrases.

Your Daily Budget

Your daily budget for your campaign is the ceiling on your daily spending. You can set this number to whatever figure you want. It’s a good idea to start out with a relatively low daily budget.

Use Google Adwords To Drive Targeted Traffic To Your Website

Posted by | Posted in PPC | Posted on 15-03-2009

If you want to make money on the internet this report will get you going in the right direction.

Highly targeted traffic is one of the most important entities when you have a internet business. Any website owner or administrator recognizes the importance of driving traffic to a website. The success of any website does not rely entirely on the site itself. You may have a terrific idea for a website, offer an excellent product or service, or have an exceptionally designed site with superb content, but if you do not use the right strategies to advertise, your site would not attract the high traffic you need. Attracting targeted traffic is a task that should be taken seriously for any site to succeed or make a profit. Fortunately, there are internet-marketing tools that help the website marketer to drive traffic to his website. One of the most significant, and effective, of these tools is Google’s Adwords. Adwords is one of Google’s advertising services.

How does Google Adwords work? Google is the largest search engine on the web receiving over 200 million queries each day through its various services. As Google is the most popular search engine today, webmasters are keen on having their websites achieve a higher ranking in the search engine results it provides. A high ranking can mean high traffic for that website. The search engine results page is also a great venue for advertisers to promote a product or service through ads and links. Consequently, Google launched its Adwords service, as a way for businesses to advertise products and services to a targeted audience. Google Adwords can guarantee instant traffic. In this service, Google displays relevant text based ads within its search engine results page termed as “Sponsored Links”. Whenever a particular keyword is searched on, these relevant links appear in a separate section giving excellent exposure to the sites listed.

How do you use Google Adwords? First, you have to open an account with the Google Adwords Service. Then, you should indicate your target language and country. This is important because you would not want your products advertised in countries where your product or service cannot be sold. Afterwards, you should now create an ad group. This involves designing the ad, selecting keywords and determining maximum cost per click that you are willing to spend and defining bid amounts. The most important step in creating a successful Adwords campaign is selecting an effective title tag that will catch the attention of your target audience. The title tag, generally a short phrase, is the most important part of your Adwords campaign so make sure that it is attractive and catchy. You should describe the website clearly and accurately. The most effective advertising conveys a clear message to the target audience. With a clear message, you will be attracting qualified leads, which can eventually convert to sale. Thus, the importance of selecting the right keywords cannot be overemphasized.

There are keyword variations you can adapt to reach more prospects. Using these varieties, misspellings and derivatives can help increase the chance of your ads being served. Broad match is targeting keywords in a loosely defined manner. Here, the ads appear based on the keywords that have been queried by other users as opposed to exact match, which calls for the keyword to match the query exactly. Meanwhile, a keyword phrase set to phrase match will only appear when the exact phrase is searched on. A negative keyword is helpful in filtering unrelated pages.

After you have decided on what title tag to use in your ad, you must now define a budget in order to maximize exposure. Google Adwords recommend a daily budget for each campaign. However, you should determine a budget that is suitable and affordable. You should also determine the maximum cost per click. Google will offer a recommended cost per click, but you do not have to stick with this. Usually, a number one position is not ideal as it can also attract unwanted traffic and useless clicks. A number two position is more preferred as it can filter useless clicks and provide traffic with a higher conversion rate.

To conclude, Google Adwords is an excellent strategy and tool in giving your site maximum exposure. Nevertheless, Google Adwords should not be your sole advertising campaign. It will definitely help you find the all-important, highly targeted traffic you need.

What Should You Know About Search Engines And Pay-Per-Click?

Posted by | Posted in PPC | Posted on 08-03-2009

Here?s a fact for you, 85 to 95% of websites are found through a search engine. You may have the most incredible website on the Internet, but it will receive little or no traffic without search engine visibility and ranking. Can you imagine a billboard in the Sahara desert? Who sees it?

So, how will searchers find your website? What types of search engines could they use?

Search engines fall into two categories. The first is referred to as natural, organic or standard. The second is called pay-per-click, paid inclusion or paid placement.

Natural, organic and standard are interchangeable terms describing a search engine that bases its search rankings on a ranking algorithm. The algorithms involve a number of criteria and parameters, all relating to the content of the website, the website?s size, the number of incoming links to the website, and the content?s relevancy. You will hear terms such as keyword relevancy and keyword density to describe various components of the algorithms.

For the standard search engines, you, your webmaster or hired search engine optimization specialist could spend considerable time optimizing your website to achieve top rankings. The goal is for your website to appear on the first or second page of the search engines? results when your target user searches keywords or keyword phrases.

The good news is rankings on standard search engines are free. The downside is the tremendous amount of time and effort required to achieve exceptional search engine rankings. Let?s confess to each other that top rankings on standard search engines can be tough and timely to achieve!

The interchangeable terms pay-per-click, paid inclusion or paid placement describe a search engine that bases its search rankings on a ?bid for position? basis. Simply stated, you ?bid? a price to be in a specific position of the search rankings for a particular search keyword or keyword phrase. For example, the #1 position on the search phrase ?pay per click? recently required a bid of $3.55 per click, whereas the 15th position required only a bid of 55 cents. As a result, your differential website advertising costs between position #1 and #15 can be considerable.

With pay-per-click search engines, your ability to bid high can dramatically impact your website?s search engine ranking when the search results display website domain names or URL?s for the search keyword or keyword phrase. The benefit is your website gains visibility with the searcher, but you are not charged the pay-per-click ?bid? until a searcher actually clicks on your website domain name or URL displayed in the search engine results. The selection of your website in the search engine results is called a click-through.

In general, click-through rates range from 1% to 5% of the number of impressions. What is all of this? A click is when a searcher selects or ?clicks? your pay-per-click ad. An impression is one display of your pay-per-click ad on the search engine results. So, the click-through rate is a measure of the total number of ad clicks versus the total number of impressions in a period of time:

Click-Through Rate % = Total Number of Ad Clicks / Total Number of Ad Impressions * 100

Let?s do the math for our #1 position bid of $3.55 per click. In September, 2004 there were 21,535 searches for ?pay per click.? First, let?s assume a 1% click-through rate. The top bidder spent $764.49 (21,535 * 1% * $3.55). Now, at a 5% click-through rate the top bidder spent $3,822.45 (21,535 * 5% * $3.55). Budgeting and controlling marketing expenses with such a broad range of potential costs could be tough. Plus, such costs could be the tip of the iceberg. We still must consider derivatives of the keyword or keyword phrase. So, was being #1 worthwhile? That depends on your website?s cost per visitor, conversion rate and profit margin of your product or service.

From what we?ve covered so far, you should realize you can achieve a top or high ranking through the pay-per-click search engine. But, a high ranking will cost money and these costs can be volatile. Meanwhile, the standard search engine remains free.

However, pay-per-click offers one significant advantage. It enables you to achieve website visibility with a high ranking instantaneously or overnight. If you want to draw traffic to your website fast for any reason, pay-per-click can make that happen. Remember, maximizing the standard search engine process takes time!

Let?s summarize the pros and cons of pay-per-click marketing:

Pros

* Improves your website?s ranking and traffic quickly.
* Tests the marketability of your product or service swiftly.
* Determines the ability of your web site to convert visitors to a call to action or make a purchase promptly.
* Identifies which keyword phrases will provide the best conversion rate rapidly.
* Provides complete control of the search engine campaign, both position and cost.

Cons

* Cost

Many individuals criticize pay-per-click because of the costs involved. But, have you really thought about the cost issue? Unless you or someone in your organization has expertise in search engine optimization, you?ll probably pay several thousand dollars in fees to a search engine optimization specialist to improve and optimize your website to achieve higher rankings in the standard search engines. So, my question to you is. Are the standard search engine rankings really free?

At the end of the standard versus pay-per-click search engine debate, it?s like the old saying, ?There is no such thing as a free lunch.? Or, it?s like the old commercial, ?You can pay me now or you can pay me later.? The reality of the debate is you must evaluate your specific website situation and utilize the search engine approach that maximizes your website promotion goals and investment.

Laser Focus On Your Target Audience With PPC Advertising

Posted by | Posted in PPC | Posted on 06-03-2009

Offline advertising is growing by 7% per year, while internet advertising is speeding ahead with a 32% annual growth rate. Traditional media is losing its market share as companies increasingly move their ads to the online media, specifically in the paid search arena. Some time ago, Ford Motor Company moved 10% of its budget away from radio/TV to web advertising.

Advertising in online media has some definite advantages over offline media in terms of cost, reach, interactivity, targeting the right markets and measuring responses. This is why internet advertising is now becoming hot property for marketers!

Of all advertising (telemarketing, magazine advertising, newspapers, radio, TV, banner ads, email marketing, etc.), PPC advertising provides the most qualified leads and is proven to have the highest sales conversion rate. This is because, unlike other forms of advertising, your ad is only displayed when your prospective customer is searching for your products or services. This is why nearly 40% of all online advertisements are now pay per click campaigns.

The trend of advertisements within the online medium is fast changing too. While search engine optimisation is becoming vital for making your website emerge above competition, pay per click advertising is providing a very cost effective means to reach your target audience.

According to The Kelsey Group and ConStat, Inc, small-business PPC advertisers currently allocate on average 23% of their total advertising budget to PPC activities. Of these, 54% expect to increase their PPC spending the next year. Paid search has undoubtedly become the hottest means of online advertising.

What is a PPC Ad

Pay per click campaigns (PPC) are defined as the guaranteed placement of a small “ad” on the search results page for a specific keyword or keywords. Your PPC ads are displayed when a user searches for your services/products. This means PPC ads are targeting those customers who are actively seeking your product/services.

No matter what your budget is, you only need to pay for the customers who click your link. PPC campaigns are suitable for all types of businesses.

Major PPC campaigns

There are two major pay per click campaigns: Google AdWords, owned by Google and Yahoo! Search Marketing, which is Yahoo’s PPC service.

Pay per click advertising is growing at a very fast pace. According to Forbes, by 2008, companies will spend $8 billion a year on PPC advertising. As a result, PPC is going to be more expensive and competitive in the future, which means campaigns will have to be even more professionally managed to ensure the best return on investment.

Advantages of PPC advertising over other ad media

Speed: PPC reaches its target market at a fast rate as compared to other online and offline advertisements. You can have an ad up and running in less than an hour.

Sales Lead: Pay Per Click advertising generates more qualified leads as compared to other advertising media, as it targets customers who are actively seeking out your products/services.

Track the lead conversion: You can track the lead conversion of a PPC campaign very easily.

Cost: PPC is a cost effective means of reaching global customers, much cheaper than traditional media, which is usually limited to the immediate audience within its reach (be it TV, radio or print). Only web marketing can give you global reach at such a cost effective rate.

Ongoing improvements: In a newspaper ad, if it contains bad ad copy, it is likely that no one will respond and all your money goes down the drain. The costs would include paying the ad agency for the ad and then the newspaper/publication for the ad space. Similarly in the case of radio or television, if your ad campaign is not appealing or convincing, the whole effort and money investment is simply going to go waste. If no one clicks your PPC ad, you will not lose money as you wouldn?t have incurred much of a cost, and you can tweak the ad copy, until you achieve results you want.

How do I make my PPC campaign get conversions?

The key to successful PPC campaign bid management lies in:

Keyword research ? any PPC campaign starts with effective keyword research. Selecting the best basket of keywords at the most cost effective cost per click is a specialised skill developed from running numerous campaigns;

Writing compelling ad copy – similar to other media, ads need to be written in a way that encourages your target market to take action, i.e. click on your advert. Selecting appropriate emotional trigger words are crucial;

Writing and designing attractive compelling landing pages – a task cut out for expert ad copy writers and web designers because this is the make-or-break page that the visitor comes to. If your ad copy can win their interest, you have a good chance of converting the sales lead.

Effective PPC campaigns require a lot of market research, keyword research, competition analysis as well as proper campaign management and monitoring. If you educate yourself and have enough time to focus on your campaigns there is no reason why you should not be able to achieve good results. Without the due focus, you can erode your budget in no time.
If you?d prefer to outsource your PPC campaign management to a specialist to benefit from their expertise, make sure the pay per click company has the skills and experience to effectively manage your PPC campaign.

Check out their processes, find out how they plan to manage your PPC advertising campaign step-by-step, and make sure they have a proven record of high conversion rates. For example, CleverClicks is a professional Australian search engine marketing company which provides a detailed step by step process of PPC campaign management. Whether you decide to outsource or not, with the right focus, PPC can bring phenomenal results to your company.

Why Some People Should Lower Their Google Adwords Click Through Rates

Posted by | Posted in PPC | Posted on 06-03-2009

Once you’ve started your Google AdWords campaign and chosen a great set of keywords, your ads may still need some work. No matter how relevant your keywords are, your campaign needs to woo your potential customers, not just freebie seekers.

This seems to be an area that most PPC marketers fall down on. With all this talk about click thru rate, people miss the bigger issue: the clicks are next to worthless if they don?t convert to sales. In fact, they aren?t even worthless ? they lose you money. Return on investment is what matters, and everything else is subordinate to that, including (perhaps especially) how many people click on your ads.

So, how do we target buying customers and get rid of the click-hungry tire kickers? Well, there are several strategies I use, and taken together they ensure I get healthy returns on my clicks.

Firstly, pay very close attention to your keywords. By on large, the broader the keyword, the greater the chance of random non-buyers clicking on your ad and costing you money. For example, someone searching for ?Adwords? might want to log into their Adwords account, they might be searching for free content, or they could just be killing time.

Contrast this with a very targeted keyword such as ?buy Adwords e-book?. Well, there is no comparison, the second will tend to convert at ten times the rate of the first, more general keyword ? but people tend to pay the same for each keyword. I don?t know if it?s because no-one tracks their conversions properly anymore, but in any event don?t fall into the trap of believing that all keywords are created equal.

If you are a merchant and have conversion tracking setup on Adwords, pay close attention to where your sales are coming from. The truth might surprise you.

Secondly, add ?free? as a negative keyword to your campaign ? this will cut out the blatant tyre kickers before they even get a chance to click on our ads.

A third possible strategy is to put your price in the ad, possibly in the headline, eg ?super new gizmo only $50?. However, I don?t like this method too much ? the reason being that the freebie hunters will click anyway, and many potential buyers will be dissuaded from clicking (many copywriters make their price as invisible as possible on the sales letter, why advertise it before they have even read the benefits?)

What I tend to do instead is make a subtle reference to the fact that the information does come with a price tag, using a word such as ?cheap?, ?low cost?, ?inexpensive?, ?limited offer?, ?discounted price? etc. This tends to not only dissuade the hardcore freebie hunters, but will actually make borderline potential buyers curious and more willing to read the sales copy. And that can only be a good thing.

Remember, click through rate is important but only if the people who click are buying. If not, you would be better off pausing your campaigns and trying a more forgiving advertising method.
