  1. I thank you for specifying that SEO and PPC are facets of Search Engine Marketing. More often than not I find that people (even in this very field) refer to a Pay Per Click campaign as SEM and refuse to acknowledge SEO as being a part of it as well. It reminds of of my old geometry class “All squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares” statement.

    Given that this field is still relatively new in the realm of marketing defining and spreading of accurate nomenclature is crucial from a standpoint of clarification and providing clients with proper expectations.
